@Hello Glow | +SkinnyMe Tea

Deixamos-lhe aqui a receita:

5 tomates cereja, lavados e cortados em metades
1 lata de tomate biológico aos cubos
1 cebola pequena, finamente picada
2 dentes de alho picados
2 colheres de chá de açafrão em pó
1 colher de chá de Azeite
10 folhas de Manjericão
1 colher de sopa de vinagre de maçã
Pimenta e Sal q/b

1. Numa panela coloque o Azeite para refogar a cebola e o alho;
2. Adicione o açafrão e o tomate cereja, e cozinhe até que os tomates libertem os sumos naturais;
3. Adicione a lata de tomate, o vinagre de maçã e o manjericão, deixe ferver, cubra com uma tampa e deixe ferver por mais cinco minutos;
4. Reduza tudo a creme dentro de uma liquidificadora;

Who doesn’t love gingerbread and Christmas cookies? I mean doesn’t everyone? The holiday season is crucial for your state of mind but when it comes to your health, not so much. We usually see the effects through our skin and hair that quickly become saturated with oil and breakouts because of the overdose on salty snacks.

So let’s start 2016 with a boost of healthy food, since we all know that one of your resolutions was to live a healthier lifestyle. Here are a few tips on how to detox and recover from that sugar hangover.

It all begins with a nutritious breakfast. An herbal tea and a mix of fruit with muesli, helps detoxify your body and improve overall function. In a jar add lemon slices, a cinnamon stick, a bit of ginger and a few mint leaves, fill it with hot water but allow it to cool. After its okay to drink remove the lemon slices and start your day with this detox infusion. Start your day with a bowl of fresh fruit (pineapple, kiwi, blueberries or raspberries – choose the ones you like the most), cereal (oats or muesli), goji berries and two tablespoons of natural yogurt. Combine detox and nutrition with oatmeal or whole grains in order to help improve bowel function and satisfy you for longer, due to the slow absorption of nutrients.

Throughout the day opt for green tea - high in antioxidants, this tea is great with any diet and detoxes as it identifies and kills free radicals in your body. Green tea can be considered a snack in some ways because you can drink it instead of soda or pre-packaged juices. It also has diuretic effects and it can help lower blood sugar levels.

For lunch go for salads full of leafy greens. Combine foods with an array of different colors, so it ensures that your dish has all the nutrients your body needs. Like Jamie Oliver says, "Eat the rainbow." Our suggestion is simple: grab a bowl, add a grated beet, some steamed broccoli, a small red onion, cucumber, a sliced tomato, a handful of spinach, a green apple and a grated carrot. Meanwhile, cook couscous with a bit of salt and saffron and toss it in with your veggies. Season the salad with a teaspoon of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste.

For an afternoon snack choose nuts, like: walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios – but just a small snack don’t overdo yourself!! We already know you love their full flavor but the goal is to detox.

Alas, have a nice and light dinner with soup and a bowl of fruit for dessert. You can choose to make tomato basil soup, these ingredients are perfect after the festivities due to their natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

We even left you a récipe:

5 cherry tomatoes, washed and cut into halves
1 can diced organic tomatoes
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 Tsp turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of olive oil
10 basil leaves
1 Tblsp apple cider vinegar
a pinch of salt and pepper
*Garnish with chia seeds and sliced almonds.

1. In a pan add the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic with soft;
2. Add the saffron and the cherry tomatoes and cook until they release the natural juices;
3. Add the can of organic tomatoes, apple cider vinegar and basil leafs, bring to a boil, cover it with a lid and simmer for another five minutes;
4. Reduce the temperature until it’s a creamy consistency then blend the soup;
5. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with chia seeds and sliced almonds.

Finish your day with a cup of the breakfast infusion and enjoy a sweet slumber. During the following days try to follow this plan, substituting the vegetables and fruits and adding different proteins like lentils, beans, salmon, etc. Be creative and lead a healthy lifestyle!
