COMO FAZER UMA GRINALDA DE FELTRO EM PASSOS MUITO SIMPLES
É um projeto super fácil de fazer. Mas pode intimidar alguns, uma vez que não existem modelos nem instruções de como fazer. O objetivo é brincar e colocar as folhas em camadas ao longo de uma fita. Não é necessário uma máquina de costura, mas se tiver uma é mais rápido.
O truque aqui é dispor as folhas por camadas. Muitas camadas de folhas, todas orientadas para a mesma direção ao longo da fita (do comprimento que quiser). Depois é só pendurar em sua casa no local que achar mais adequado. Este pequeno “como fazer” é perfeito para qualquer altura do ano, e pode fazê-lo com desenhos e cores diferentes para se adaptar a outros temas e festividades.
Costurar à mão, ou, à Máquina
Precisa de uma máquina de costura? Não. Mas é mais rápido.
O Tamanho das Folhas? Quanto maior, melhor. Contudo corte algumas pequenas para preencher espaços vazios e dar mais dinâmica à grinalda. Não há um modelo perfeito – por isso quanto mais "imperfeita" a folha for, melhor vai ficar. Terá que coser ou então optar por colar com cola quente.
O cordão
Corte um longo pedaço de feltro verde - da mesma cor que as folhas de modo a ficar escondido por trás das mesmas. Para poder pendurar, faça dois cortes pequenos mais ou menos à mesma distância de forma a encaixar em ganchos ou pregos que tenha na parede.
Colocar as folhas
O método mais fácil para colocar as folhas é começar numa das pontas da fita e trabalhar de baixo para cima. Fazendo camadas entre as folhas.
HOW TO MAKE A FELT LEAF GARLAND
The summary is, this project is super easy. But it may intimidate some as there are no templates, or no real "how to's" It's a mix of winging it, trying things out, fiddling with the placement of leaves and just having a good time making it. I have to stress that this project is for a beginner - I started this project without owning a sewing machine and then completed it with a sewing machine that I *just* got. So no fancy stitches or tricks. (Note: With a sewing machine is way faster)

However... I wanted a lot of garland and it was taking a long time so I decided to wait to complete the project until I owned a sewing machine. (Which my Mom gave me this Summer (thanks Mom!))
Leaf Size

The Strand / Backing
Cut a long piece of green felt - the same colour as the leaves so that it hides behind the leaves. To make it easier to hang, cut two "button holes" in the end, to make it easier to hang the strand from hooks (I use 3M hooks)
Attaching the Leaves to the Strand
This was where I had trouble figuring out what was the best way to do it - every strand I did, I did it a different way. It's likely easiest to work from the bottom and layer your leaves as you go up. Between sewing leaves on, fluff it out and see how it is looking.
